Positively, the use of Industry Foundation Class (IFC) is increasing, with many software solutions integrating the ability to import or export information in the IFC format. However, despite a number of these solutions being certified against IFC2X3 and others advertising their capability, few are able to do so without issue. As such, there is a need to identify, capture and monitor any discrepancies when exchanging IFC information.
Following an agreement at the bSUKI, an IFC query sheet has been developed and presented here on the building website. Members are invited to complete the contact form below identifying any IFC queries they have experienced. buildingSMART will then forward these queries to the respective software vendors to allow an opportunity for them to amend or clarify.
Please note: This is a user populated list, buildingSMART UKI has not verified any of these issues, and will update and remove issues following clarification
